Recognition for Jonathan Ruffer

8 November 2016

Chair of Auckland Castle Trust, Jonathan Ruffer, has been named Philanthropist of the Year at the prestigious Spear's Wealth Management Awards.

Billed as ‘the Oscars of the private banking world,’ the Spear’s Awards acknowledge and honour entrepreneurs and philanthropists for their innovation, success and outstanding contributions.

Jonathan, whose background is in Investment Management, received the Philanthropist of the Year Award for his outstanding contribution to the regeneration of Bishop Auckland, both through Auckland Castle Trust and open air spectacular Kynren, run by sister charity, Eleven Arches.

This follows receipt of a second Philanthropy award at the recent North East Charity Awards 2016.
